Marcin Iwaniszyn is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Poland, a partner in the corporate department of Rymarz Zdort, and a co-head of the banking and finance practice.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2006, also completing a course in US law, with distinction, at the Center for American Law Studies co-organised by the University of Warsaw and the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2005, and qualified as an attorney-at-law in 2010. He joined Rymarz Zdort, formerly known as Weil, Gotshal & Manges – Paweł Rymarz sp.k., in 2005.
A specialist in domestic and international offerings of debt securities, banking and finance law, and capital markets transactions, Marcin has considerable experience advising both issuers and offerors on issuances of bonds, including secured and convertible bonds. He also has broad experience in advising financial institutions and lenders on project finance, working capital funding, and complex refinancing deals. Marcin has led several finance projects related to tender offers for the sale of shares.
Marcin specialises in advising financial institutions, entities operating in the wholesale and retail trade markets, energy sector players, and commercial and residential real estate development companies.
The prestigious legal ranking publication Chambers and Partners has ranked Marcin since 2018 as one of a select few Notable Practitioners for banking and finance and in its 2020 it ranked him in the “Up and Coming” category. According to the most recent reports, he frequently represents blue-chip borrowers in respect of the refinancing of significant debt as well as acquisition financing. “You can call him anytime,” a client reports, adding: “we really enjoy working with him.”
Another prestigious legal ranking publication, The Legal 500, has since 2017 recommended Marcin for debt capital markets and ranked him in the “Next Generation Partners” category for banking and finance. Another legal ranking, IFLR1000, has since 2018 singled Marcin out as one of a few “Rising Stars” in banking and finance, and debt capital markets, and since 2020 it has singled him out as one of a select few “Highly Regarded” lawyers in these fields.
