Leszek Tokarski is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Poland, a partner of Rymarz Zdort and a co-head of the tax department.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 1993 and qualified as an attorney-at-law in 1998. He has over 25 years of experience providing tax advisory services, which he gained at two of the Big4 accounting firms, where he headed tax practices, and during his work for the Ministry of Finance. He joined Rymarz Zdort in 2020.
He worked on the introduction of new tax laws into the legal system, including the Corporate Income Tax Act and the Goods and Services Tax Act. Leszek advises the largest domestic and international banks, insurance companies and leasing companies. He provides tax advisory services to major Polish and global corporate clients active in the FMCG, oil and gas, and real estate sectors. He has been responsible for M&A projects, equity and debt transactions, restructurings of capital groups, and regulatory projects such as MDR and split payments.
Leszek’s practice has been focused specifically on litigation and the handling of proceedings involving tax matters. He represents the largest Polish and international corporations with regard to corporate income tax, VAT and asset tax, and defends members of their management authorities in penal fiscal liability cases.
The prestigious legal ranking publication The Legal 500 recommended Leszek Tokarski in its 2020 edition for tax.
