Sebastian Mikina is an advocate, an associate in the corporate department of Rymarz Zdort, and a member of the banking and finance team.
He graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2016. He has been a Ph.D. candidate at the Faculty of Law and Administration, the Institute of Civil Law of the University of Warsaw since 2016. He qualified as an advocate in 2020. Prior to joining Rymarz Zdort, formerly known as Weil, Gotshal & Manges – Pawel Rymarz sp.k., in 2016, he worked for more than three years in the corporate department of a Polish law firm based in Warsaw and volunteered for the Department of Constitutional, International and European Law of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Poland.
A specialist in commercial and corporate law, banking and finance law, and financial sector regulatory issues, he has advised lenders and borrowers on a number of domestic and cross-border financing deals, including acquisition finance, corporate finance and project finance, as well as complex refinancing transactions. He has also worked on bond offerings and restructuring and bankruptcy projects, as well as provided legal assistance to leading financial institutions in connection with regulatory aspects related to investment funds. His experience also covers advising domestic and international companies and private equity funds on M&A transactions, including M&A deals involving public companies.
