Piotr Zawacki

Piotr Zawacki is a certified tax advisor and counsel in the tax department of Rymarz Zdort.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2005, where he also completed a course in English law at the English Law Centre co-organised by the University of Warsaw and the University of Cambridge. Piotr qualified as a certified tax advisor in 2010. Prior to joining Rymarz Zdort, formerly known as Weil, Gotshal & Manges – Paweł Rymarz sp.k., in 2019, he worked in the financial institutions department in two of the Big4 accounting firms and completed internships with one of the largest banks in Poland.

Piotr has over 13 years of professional experience in providing tax advisory services gained while working in two of the Big4 accounting firms. He has advised clients from the financial services industry, as well as clients from the energy, telecommunications and media sectors. He has also advised on M&A transactions and on the taxation of real estate transactions. Piotr has advised banks, leasing companies as well as other financial institutions in respect of Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax and international taxation. He has been responsible for conducting numerous tax reviews and due diligence investigations, managing restructuring projects (including mergers, demergers and the tax structuring of share / real estate acquisitions) and has provided ongoing tax advisory services and represented clients in administrative court proceedings.
