Monika Kierepa is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Poland, a partner in the corporate department of Rymarz Zdort and the head of the intellectual property practice.
After graduating with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 1999, Monika also completed post-graduate studies in: internet law, at the Intellectual Property Law Institute of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow in 2003; and intellectual property law, at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2006. She joined Rymarz Zdort, formerly known as Weil, Gotshal & Manges – Paweł Rymarz sp.k., in 2000 and qualified as an attorney-at-law in 2007.
A specialist in IP and industrial property law, she has extensive knowledge in copyright law, trademark law and patent law. She has provided advice on various aspects of IP law to companies from a number of industries, including internet portals, publishing houses, and power, IT, biotechnology, telecommunication and food sector companies. In addition, as a member of the corporate and mergers and acquisitions teams, she has a wealth of experience in corporate and capital markets law. She advises on M&A transactions (especially those involving public companies) and on private equity transactions. She is the head of the team performing due diligence investigations in transactions of this type. She has also advised on many initial and secondary public offerings of securities.
The prestigious legal ranking publication, IFLR1000, has since 2018 singled Monika out as a “Notable Practitioner” for equity capital markets and M&A.
