Senior Associate in the Regulatory and FinTech Department

Job description:

We are looking for a candidate who will participate in the work of the Regulatory and FinTech department, involving the provision of end-to-end legal services for complex projects in the financial market regulation area and the FinTech sector, for the firm's international and domestic clients. The responsibilities include, among others, drafting and negotiating IT contracts and cloud contracts, in particular in the regulated outsourcing regime, participation in proceedings before supervisory and regulatory authorities, and drafting and providing opinions on innovative regulatory models. The candidate's responsibilities will also include coordinating a team of junior lawyers.

Requirements:

• the professional title of attorney-at-law or advocate;
• at least five years of experience providing legal services to financial sector entities related to IT/FinTech outsourcing;
• expert knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the FinTech sector, in particular of the Banking Law, the Act on Insurance and Reinsurance Activities, the Payment Services Act and the Act on Trading in Financial Instruments, as well as of the provisions of copyright law relating to the protection of computer programs;
• expert knowledge of the guidelines of both domestic and European supervisory authorities;
• knowledge of the provisions of the AML Act, the GDPR, the PSD2, and the Payment Services Act will be an asset;
• a fluent, practical command of spoken and written English, with a special focus on legal terminology;
• very good organisational skills, attention to detail, punctuality, an ability to meet deadlines and a heightened sense of accountability;
• teamworking skills, an ability to work under pressure and a high degree of availability;
• an ability to come up with new ideas and flexibility in problem solving; and
• strong interpersonal skills.
