Lawyer/ Advisor in the Tax Practice

Job description:
We are looking for a person to join our tax practice in providing comprehensive legal services related to tax matters to the firm's international and Polish clients. The incumbent will provide comprehensive tax advice. She/he will cooperate with senior lawyers and tax advisors of the firm in providing specific tax services to clients. In particular, she/he will work on preparing opinions and analyses, preparing M&A-related advice, conducting tax due diligences for both buyers and sellers, performing tax reviews, and advising and representing clients in connection with tax proceedings.

Requirements:

• a university degree, or possibly be in the course of a traineeship or in the process of obtaining qualification as a tax advisor;
• two to five years of work experience in the area of tax consultancy gained either in tax consultancy firms or law firms;
• competence in issues related to income tax, value added tax and international taxation;
• experience in preparing tax opinions, working on tax reviews and conducting due diligence;
• knowledge of issues in, and experience in advising companies from, the financial institutions sector, as well as knowledge of accounting basics is preferred;
• a fluent, practical command of spoken and written English, with a special focus on legal terminology;
• very good organisational skills, attention to detail, punctuality, an ability to meet deadlines and a heightened sense of accountability;
• teamwork skills, an ability to work under pressure and a high degree of availability;
• independence, an ability to come up with new ideas and flexibility in solving problems; and
• strong interpersonal skills.
